I m very interested about your oppinions ... what 23 august 1944 was ? A necesity ? A stupid act who costs romanian army 180.000 "extra" POW s and a lot of humiliatins from reds? Can we be proud about our contribution at third reich defeat? Italy, with quiet insignificant number of troops who fought against germany got a chair :beer: at winners table (even was a little one). Romania ....

Considering the links Dragos gave do not work anymore and I didn't find another forum to suit it better, I will just post it here. Today while reading Magazin Istoric from August 2002 I found an itneresting article on 23rd August coup d'etat, I scanned it and post it here - unfortunatelly it is in romanian and I do not have the time to transalte it, if anyone could translate it I would be much obliged !
