You can find many things with that, my deepest find was about 10-15 cm deep. It detects a gun, for ex at 15-20 cmm, and is not afected by mineralized earth, which is a big problem for my GC 1023...

Soldat Group: Members Posts: 10 Member No.: 2335 Joined: December 20, 2008	Thanks for the information Cipiamon, I didn't buy one of those toy MDs, in stead I got a hand held security metal detector, it goes about 15-20 cm for something the size of a pistol, it was all I could get my hands on for the moment but I am pleased with it for now, all the best
