Goloiu's P-38 'kill' is recorded over Kongas on 22-Jul-44. Where this could be?

As usual, please try to find out if he still has his Carnet de Zbor.

What does 'AT 10/2' mean?

Artherial tension? In this case however would be extremely low, no?

Hey I've been measuring AT for almost 10 years now. Back on the subject, it's a shame none of the veterans in Bucharest were available this weekend. Maybe we should make that trip to Brasov after 18 February. wink.gif

I talked with Dicesare today. He was in good mood and became a little sentimental (only a little).
He told me about a kill he made over an Soviet ground attack plane; He fired from close range with 3 20mm cannons and two mg's.THe plane desintegrated imediatly and some parts have hit IDC's plane. The plane went directly into the grownd and exploded."I've killed this one"said Dicesare, and in his big blue eyes I saw sadness.
Then he told me about aground attack he made together with Jg 3 under the comand of Von Boremski, while beenstationed at Karpovka.
They made an very early morning (4 am) attack over an Soviet airfield at Starabirsc???They suprised the Russians and made the first pass fithout any aa defence. It was a massacre, over 20 G's were involved.
After the second pass he suddenly passed over a church tower and saw the cross on it... IDC decided not to make another pass that day....

Is it perhaps a copy of the list of Rumanian Aces from my Osprey book? I did not send him any such list.

On 10 April, a formation of ten Romanian Bf-109Gs, under the command of the German ace Eberhard von Boremski, strafed the Soviet airfield at Starobielsk, where the Romanians claimed five Pe-2s destroyed on the ground.

Dicezare's Il-2 kill, was it on 14 April or on 16 August 1943? Did he mention the month at least. I have gave twice las ta year a list of questions for him. Did you ask him?

It was on July 18, not June 18.
He force landed on Husi airfield.

Yes Denes, and the Bf109E number 9 is also on the list for the first victories.
