C-2, when taking photos of abother photo from close distance with your digital camera, use the Macro function so that the photos won't come out blury.

Technically he isn't a veteran as he did not get to see any combat before the war was over. At the time he was only licensed to fly IAR-39s. After the war he went on to fly with the He-114 (between 1950-53). He was the CO of the 347th Seaplane Squadron. He was then transfered to a new command and flew the Il-28 as regimental commander.

Victor . great job with the interview and as Denes mentioned you guys got to speed up before they will all leave for the eternal flight .Final I can only admire such brevary and mastery to land the aircraft with one arm , overcome the pains and the stress and manage to stay alive.

Great pilot , great airmanship

Hello

Is there any chance you ask him if he remembers an ARR pilot and a Tarom IL-18 captain Titi Conea ( blonde hair , tall and muscular)..?....he was a great friend of my dad and spend my childhood with his son and I have lost contact with his family. He appeared sometimes in the 60's on the Italian newspapers for saving a troubled IL-18 on approach for Naples which had major engine malfunctions

I'd like to tell a story (like usual)-this time from Dicesare;
In 44,Bazu was married to Nadia Herscu.She was a very special woman.She had a house in a village built exactly as a peasants house,(cu pamant batatorit).
In this house she use to welcome to dif.partyies many a airmen from Bazu's group.
There Dicesare first met her.She was dresed as a peasant woman,behaving very unoficial,drinking and dancing to a "Taraf" formation.
After a while Bazu got smallpox.Dicesare phoned,and Nadia invited him to dinner.
They lived in a penthouse at "the tail" of Mihai the brave statue.
D was very suprised to meet a totaly diferent woman....She was very well dresed and very well behaved.It seems like she was playing a peasant woman role....
Does anyone know how many wifes had Bazu?

Four wives. Nadia was the last. She is the mother of Linda Grey (Sue Ellen from the show Dallas).

Today Victor and me met-second time for me and first time for Victor,Stuka pilot Mihai Belcin(88).
The interview will be ready sometimes in the future,but I'd like to tell a funny story we heard;
Another Stuka pilot(who loves in Brasov,and we hope to meet)-Dumitru Pasare,was a lausy pilot.He distroyed about 8 Stuhas in landing accidents.
The other camarades joked about him that Stalin gave him a medal for fightng for the Soviet Union laugh.gif

I wouldn't go so far as to say Dumitru Pasare was a "lousy" pilot. He had over 150 missions during the war, some of them as formation leader, especially in the period lt. av. Tudor Andrei was on leave in late 1943 and achieved good results.

I know that, but we have to take everything with a grain of salt.
