Buna!

I'm wondering if anybody would know of any testimonies by Romanian soldiers of receiving some form of divine intercession during the eastern front campaign? For example, a battalion charging into the enemy successfully in light of overwhelming odds, and other situations where people were either saved by prayer or were successful in attack due to prayer. My Romanian is extremely poor, but even if someone gives me a link I can figure things out with google translate.

Multumesc!

I'm not sure I understand your question.

Do you actually believe that some operations succeeded because of some "divine intervention" following a "prayer" ? Or just want testimonies of soldiers that believed so.

I would be interested in testimonies, as in 'We prayed to the icon... and then the enemy surrendered and we were able to march into the town'.

Multumesc...

As far as I am aware of such things, these things never happened.

Countless times in history, the opposing armies were following the same religion.
Tough choice for God, to say the least.

Something rather off-topic, but it can be fun.
Source, Net. Book (in rus.) of Sov.Union Marshal of armoured troops A.H. Babadjanian „The ways of victory”, 1975. At that time he was colonel, CO of 20. Mechanized Brigade. The action is somewhere in north of Bukovina, spring of 1944.
CODE

I know of a soldier testimony from ww2 times, when he was literally saved by the small Bible that he had with him. He was a devoted christian, and was reading he Bible every time he had the chance. Durring one attack, he was hit by a bullet that otherwise would have hit him in the heart area. The bullet was stopped by the small Bible kept in his chest pocket.
I also know one story of a veteran from Radauti, he said it was a the divine help that got him out of a heavy shell bombing, while on the western front, becouse it was impossible in any logic way to escape that hell.

Some called it luck, belivers call it devine help. Blaise Pascal had concluded that there is no such thing as coincidence or luck, after his accident.
