Thanks ocoleanui,
In the "Livret" there are the following entries:
Drafted: 15.02.1941 83'rd Infantry Regiment
Discharged: 15.02.1943 83'rd Infantry Regiment ( Comandant de grupa)
Participation in war: 17.03.1942 : URSS Stalingrad
02.02.1943 : 83'rd Infantry Regiment
24.08.1944 : Cehoslovacia
09.05.1945 : 83'rd Infantry Regiment
From what i know, he also took part in the fightings around Aiud, Alba County, wich i found some info on this forum, also he took part in the fights from Turda and Oarba de Mures on our soil.....
I am interested in books regarding this regiment and the 20'th Division, I know there is a book writen by a survivor of the 83'rd Infantry Regiment, but i can't find it!
Thanks again, hope to hear some more from you!

Do you have any stories from him regarding the participation to Stalingrad battles ?
Anyone knows which army Reg. 83 Inf. was part of - 3rd or 4th ?

D13-th_Mytzu, i will ask my father regarding Stalingrad. what i know is that he escaped the encercliment and he was not injured or captured in the war. i think the 83'rd Infantry Regiment was part of the 4 th Romanian Army.

I was 10 years old when he died...I remember very few stories, but I remember very clearly that he said he didn't shot a single fire in the war..
