I'm particularly interested in the way they lived and trained, memories... Also, are there any veterans from the Cavalry left? Can they be contacted? Thank you

I read the second book and I am now reading the first one. Does anyone know if Emilian Ezechil is still alive and if I could get in touch with him anyhow?

I found this article dated 2009 and I understand he lives in Bucharest, so it would be easy for me to meet him. But we're in 2012 now and I don't know how he is now...
