This book is a stupid one.
I red and it was a nonsence.
When I told about it to Lucaci Mihai (who was a pilot in this scuadron) he became very angry and my words about this book were very "soft" comparing to his....
Waste of paper.

The book's content is similar to the cover drawing's accuracy. laugh.gif

On the front is a Yakovlev Hurrischmitt 262 wearing Panzer camouflage and on the back cover is a Petlyakov Peshquito wearing Unites States of Britannia markings. blink.gif

@C-2, Dénes, Radub, in my opinion you are too harsh, the book is published in 1994 and the authors write in the preface that it is not a history book, quote: ”Prezentul volum pleacă de la realitate. , Nutrim convingerea că ele vorbesc despre virtuțile aviatorilor militari, despre spiritul de sacrificiu și dragostea lor de țară și neam, care i-au animat și pe luptătorii din unitatea al cărui titlu îl poartă această lucrare”, considering the time when it was written and published: 1993/1994, the intent of the authors: not a history book, the price: 2,47 lei (0,46 euro cent), I think the book is: all right.

Ionionescu,
I do not have the book. I have no idea what it contains. I am only talking about the cover. Just in case you misunderstood what I meant, please allow me to explain: the cover is ugly and stupid and the planes/events depicted have no bearing on reality.

However, if Denes and C-2 think that the contents are a precise reflection of the cover, I have no reason to disagree with them.

I red the book...
Lawsy in my point of view.
But after a member of the squadron said it was bs I knew I was right.
Mr Lucaci mentionet that it was all fiction and almost all was invented.
