Flotila 1 Aviatie Iasi

Hi all,

I would be interested in information about the organization, composition and equipment of Flotila 1 Aviatie Iasi between June 1936 - September 1939. Squadrons, types of planes used, possibly commanders and members of squadrons . Does anybody know if Potez XXV was used by squadrons of this flotilla in the period above mentioned ?

I found a short reference about this topic in the book " Aviatori romani participanti la luptele din anii 1916 -1918 si 1941 -1945 "by Serban Constantinescu . In the biography of Dumitru Deica , commander of Squadron 73 from Group 6 Bombers in the period of ww2, the author said : " In vara anului 1937 ecipajul format din locotenent Dumitru Deica (pilot) si Grigore Panaitescu (observator) a executat un raid aerian in Polonia , cu un avion POTEZ XXV din dotarea Flotilei 1 Informatii din Iasi . Itinerariul a fost urmatorul : Iasi , Lwow, Demblin, Cernauti , Iasi , parcurgand peste 1900 km , si executand escale in localitatile amintite. Acest raid a constituit pentru perioada respectiva o performanta deosebita . "
