k. u. k. is the abbreviation for Kaiserliche und Königliche = Imperial and Royal.

No, it's the army of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy it is referring to. Austria's monarch was an Emperor, while Hungary's a King. That's why k.u.k. abbreviation. Gen. Dénes |
