Please help - Polikarpov I-16 and Capitan Popescu, Grade of pilot and name of unit

Hello!

I am putting a card for a Romanian Polikarpov I-16 in my little game "Wings of War" where there are already several Romanian planes (from Nieuport 17 to Breguet XIV to Me.109 E).

On each card we put name of pilot, rank and name of unit in his language. On the back there is the name of the air service.



I would be grateful to you if you could tell me the rank (in Romanian) of Captain Popescu in Spring/Summer 1941, when he flew the I-16 in Escadrila 19 Observatie (is the name correct?). And was the air service called Aeronautica Regala Româna or Fortele Aerriene Regale Ale Romaniei (or else)?

My guess is:

Locotenent Gheorghe Popescu-Ciocănel Escadrila 19 Observatie Forţele Aeriene Regale ale României

I read that the name Forţele Aeriene Regale ale României is from 1941, but I don't know from which day.

The Osprey about Romanian aces (page 51 - http://books.google.it/books?id=-TE1O8rtR7...page&q=&f=false ) seems to quote him as Gheorghe Popescu-Ciocānel, with an ā in the name instead than an ă.

It's Locotenent aviator Gheorghe Popescu-Ciocănel and Escadrila 19 Observaţie.

Forţele Aeriene Regale ale României is erroneous. Instead, use ARR (Aeronautica Regală Română).
