I have seen a source mentioning that the rank of Nicolae Balotescu, the Romanian Air Attaché in Berlin between 1943 and 1944, was lieutenant commander.

You may have noticed that general Rozin held the position of military attaché for a rather brief period in 1940. It is reported that he was recalled at the request of the German authorities. Any details about the incident that led to the quick termination of his mission?

Actually my wife personally knew General Alexandru Zaharescu (ex air attache during 1938-1942). I am interested in sharing some thoughts ref this period.
