Old topic, but info are available for those who may concern.

11th Infantry Division was the only romanian infantry division from ww2 who never lost a battle in the sector were it was deployed.

It's 3rd Dorobanti Regiment fought in 1877 Independence War, in ww1 and in ww2 fought also at Oarba de Mures, following other battles in eastern front and followed by other battles in western front.

Garisoned in Oradea after ww2, 3rd Dorobanti Regiment pursued a series of reforms in its organisation, being disbanded in year 2000, after reorganisation of romanian army in the process of raising a professional army.

More detalied info's will follow about the 11th Infantry Division.

11th Infantry Division was created in April 1914, as a third division of the 1st Army Corps (Oltenia). So, it is normal that this division had regiments from Oltenia. Anyway, does anyone know where were the division's HQ?
