Dear Forum users!
I am seeking information, maps etc, concerning Romanian troop activities for Nov/Dec '44 in the areas of Abaúji and Zemplén counties in present-day Hungary for the purpose of research and military field archaeology in conjunction with the Zemplén Military History Association (www.zhe.hu). Any and all information, personal accounts, maps, communications would be greatly appreciated.
I thank you in advance for your kind cooperation!
Sincerely,
Drgeorge

P.S.: More specifically the activities of the Romanian 4th army's 21st Infantry division fighting the Hungarian 24/I, 24/III and the 5/I divisions! Thanks!!!

Judging by the diameter could be the 50mm Brandt mortar (model 1937) shells.
What is the weight of one shell ?

See the link below

And a picture with 50mm french brandt (source Axis History Forum)

They're definitely not Brandt mortars: Diameter is 60mm. I haven't weighed them yet, but I would imagine they're a little over a kilogram each!!
Dutch, French, Romanian??

They could be 60mm Brandts, but I haven't found a link yet with a photo that matches (eg. inert-ord) !!
The above photo shows the 37mm version, I believe.
