General of Air Flotilla ® DRAGOMIR P. CONSTANTIN lives in Cluj.
I present the short note about him, that I found here, on ww2 site. Is good one.
His health is in very good shape. Has a strong voice. And the heart, works.
If someone needs punctual question, please ask.
I want to begin with biography (war years) and this punctual question.

Is he the former Ju 88A bomber pilot of Gr. 6 bomb.?

One of the questions you should ask him is his opinion about his German colleagues in the Eastern campaign and his feelings after the 23 August events and the Western campaign.

Also, it would be great to know his opinion on the Ju 88 bomber, and if there was a better aircraft type than this.

He was Stuka pilot.

http://www.worldwar2.ro/arr/?article=697

In early summer, 1944 with 3-4 other pilot from the same unit, they go to Czechoslovakia, to learn fly with new Fw-190. After that, in Romania, at Arad, they would teach the Stuka pilot, fly with this airplane.
In august, 20-21 they finish the training, and in next days, would fly back wiht new airplanes. In august 23, the germans disarm romanian pilots and want shoot him. Finally, pilots was send to a prison camp, close to Berlin.
In may 05, 1945, the russians liberate the camp, and romanian pilots return in Romania.

After that, I am not sure, he was in army, until 1952 when, like other military who fight in russia, become an simple workers.

In 1959 (?) his situation was reestablish (study, military situation), becoming civil employee.

I'll return with precise data, regarding this question, and ....other question, of course.

Coincidentally, there was an Adj. sef av. C-tin Dragomir, Ju 88A pilot in Gr. 6 bomb. in 1943.

Anyhow, most interesting to see that he flew the Fw 190. Then my question would change to his opinion on this aircraft type. Which sub-type did he fly (A, F or G)?
My other question regarding his opinion on the German airmen (not about the German politics!) remains the same.
A final question, seeing that he flew in Gr. 3 bomb. at Stalingrad, his opinion about this ill-fated campaign. Which airplane type did he fly there? I.A.R. 37 (Esc. 81 bomb.)?

He d'ont remember type. Ironically, he flew only for once time, the plaine in august, 21 or 22. Take-off and landing. Place: Prostejov (Prossnitz ?)
In august, 23 the germans stop the flights and in 24 disarm the romanian pilots and put in prison camp in Wurtzen (Saxonia).

Here, they has seen some german officers who take part in Hitler's attempt (20.07.1944). In every day three, four of them dissapear.
From 01.11.1944 romanians live in Wustrau (Newrupin) north Berlin with other romanian prisoners, until 03.05.1945.

The five romanian pilots are: cpt. cdr. OPRISAM MIHAI (Fl.1 fighter-Bucuresti), lt.av. DRAGOMIR CONSTANTIN, slt.av. POPOVICI DUMITRU, adj.sef av. ROSMAN (DUMITRU) , all from Gr.3 dive bomb. And slt.av. SIMIGINOVICI IOAN (translator) from new Gr.6 dive bomb. All was very excited because Fw-190 is fighter/bomber.

Only german pilot with he has contact was lt. ANDORFER ANTON (at NIKOLAIEV april-may, 1943) flight instructor for Ju-87 for Esc.85. KA in 11.04.1944 with Fw-190 (...). He teach every romanian pilot like a german pilot. A pilot became "good" only if he pass "cyrcus" dive and fight acrobatics without miss the "nr. one" (lt. ANDORFER). With every pilot one, two or ten time. Other example: at lunch only spotless. Even today lt. ANDORFER is still, mister ANDORFER.
At Nikolaiev every esc. (81, 85 and 73) of Gr.3 bomb. STUKA (!!) has an german fligt instructor. Mr. Dragomir underline every time, word STUKA.

At Stalingrad he fly IAR 37 in Esc.18 bomb. (!) from Fl. 3 bomb. Craiova.
This is a very, very, very light airplane, and pilot need more luck, if "someone" appeare........

Mr. Dragomir told me some interestin thing. Stuka fly at 3000 m before dive and straighten at 400 m. The russian, who fly like beens, wait them at this heights, especially at low altitude when Stuka became vulnerable (point 0). Between 1943 and 1944 thanks to very good air defence assure by romanian fighters, Gr.3 bomb. STUKA d'ont lose peoples shoot down by enemy fighters.

Due to some personal problems, I think that mr. Dragomir can't be present at meeting.
If he will change his decision, I add.
