Does anyone know about this automatic rifle?, This is the only image of it i have seen so far and seems to have some parts missing. I believe it was under the Paratroop Rifle trials prior to adopting the FG42.

i didn't saw one until now(i'm talking about images from ww2 era), but i'm sure that in description it is written "prototype". this means that it was built in 1 or 2 ...or "X" pieces with pure testing purpose. it is very probably that this weapon didn't saw frontlines(as mp42-later mp44 )

if i'm mistaking i'm sure that the guys from the forum will help.
