"Assembly Ships of the Mighty Eighth" new book On 31 March 2008 has been edited in Poland the next title from Atelier Kecay. Last year was edited the first title "Captured Me 109s" done by Jacek Jackiewicz and Mirosław Wawrzyński. Now is finished the second one: "Assembly Ships of the Mighty Eighth". This time it has been done by Jacek Jackiewicz and Robert Bock. As the title suggest the book is about American formation or assembly ship in World War II. There were special planes, when other aircraft formed their formations around. The huge bomber (like B-17, B-24) to be better recognized in the air had very unusual bright, at time gaudy, colors. The book has soft cover and 120 pages. There are 194 photos and 29 full 4-side planes color drawings. Whole text is in English and the book is in full color. The same as with the first title. Inside there are very nice color drawings of USAAF Mighty Eight B-17s, B-24s, P-47s. The book will be sold in Canada and USA and in Great Britain too, like the first one. The bookstores should soon/or have just receive copies. A few scans from this book you may see: http://www.kecay.com/index.php?cPath=21&language=pl Regards, MirekW |
