Does anyone know when and who composed "Mars de intampinare" (Reception march)? What was its protocol/etiquette?
The university of California posted some wax cylinders on the internet and one of them, dating between 1890 and 1929, has the Mars de intampinare on it: Cleaned MP3 / Original The band leader says: "Pentru onor [drepti?], capul la dreapta" (For [giving the] honor, heads to the right!), and at the end "Bine, baieti, bine!" (Very well boys, very well!). This post has been edited by bansaraba on November 20, 2009 09:06 pm |
