biggrin.gif don't intend to be rude but, ww2 Romanian helmets are hard to find and usually the collectors don't want to sell them at a cheap price or they don't sell them at all. Good try anyways cool.gif

Hi Osip
Very nice collection!
If you are looking for a good ww2 Romanian helmet complete I have a few helmets for sale. But the problem is that the helmets are at my house in Romania.
Only in May I will go back for a visit, if you want then I can take the helmets back with me and we can talk some more, maybe this summer I can sell some to you if you want. All I can tell you, is that they are all in good shape a few ones have the original German liner and one has the Dutch liner. I also have one helmet that is very rare it has the original paint original German liner and an original bullet hole. Poor soldier got hit right in the head sad.gif
Let me know if you want more stuff maybe I can get some for you.

cheers!

hi Osip

when you go on to the web site you have to click on the Romanian helmet and there it will open a new window, that will show the different helmets the Romanian army used, from the ww1 Adrian model to the ww2 Dutch Helmet.
If you scroll down you will see the helmet with the German liner.
Now, you are asking your self why do the Rom helmets have a German liner?
Well because my friend when the German army invaded Holland and the Dutch where producing their helmets the German army told the Dutch producers to make Dutch helmets with German liners, to speed up the process because Romania needed to be equipped with Helmets for the Eastern front. So that's why in some helmets you see German liner and in others you see the normal Dutch liner. In my opinion the true Romanian helmet is the one with the German liner because it was costume made especially for the Romanian troops only. That's why its a very special helmet.
I hope this helps biggrin.gif
Cheers !

Thanks for the information. For me it is new informeshen. I thought that in 1939 the Romanian government has destroyed the contract with Poland, England, The Romanian government deported the rests of the Polish army rescueed under the contract in Romania in to Germany.I have solved that after the contract with Hitler and break with England and France have changed and liner helmets.I think, that you are right. If you change friends it is necessary to change not only political convictionsbut but and form of liner.I think in it there was a greater tragedy of many people of the Europe. One sick corporal has decided to become the owner of the Universe.Who that has solved that it well.Result-millions soldiers lay far from the native house.Forgive my bad English. I so think

That's not true. Polish military personnel who sought refuge to Rumania in Sept. 1939 was initially gathered in camps, then most of them were let go abroad, where they could continue to fight against the Germans.

Osip, let's not forget that there was another short man, with big moustache (who eventually became a Generalissimus dry.gif ), who also wanted to become the ruler of the world. His actions also caused lots and lots of death and suffering all over (Eastern) Europe...
