I am building a Black sea Axis Fleet in miniature for wargaming, i am trying to assess which aircraft (Romanian Flown) i should use to Support them. So far i have JRS79B1 and IAR 80C.

according to Axworthy, the JRS79B1 was given the 20mm cannon for anti shipping purposes.
I also have used Blenheims, they were used in a Reece role i believe and anti sub.

In reality, no.

The anti-shipping raids were carried out during the 1941 siege of Odessa using the same bombers that were used against ground targets. It is possible that the JRS-79Bs were used in bombing Soviet convoys on some occasions, but I never heard of a special modification for anti-shipping attacks or of a JRS-79B squadron being strictly devoted to the anti-shipping role.

Admin Group: Admin Posts: 4350 Member No.: 3 Joined: February 11, 2003	Returning to the supposed naval actions of the Romanian Stukas, I just went through the Roba & Craciunoiu book and could not find any mention of a anti-shipping sortie by the 3rd Dive Bomber Group. All ordered targets were on the ground.

General Medic Group: Hosts Posts: 2453 Member No.: 19 Joined: June 23, 2003	Belcin told me about this too. He was together with Stan Nicolae. They were not so pleased to make this strike against undefended convoy of former allies. They talked before the dive ,not to hit any ship.So they did.
