The emerging Czechoslovak state had no army at all and Romanian troops stationed in Prague (1,000, including 100 officers) provided security for the Czech National Council. Maybe someone could provide data on their history and what happened in time (probably included in Romanian Royal army, but when ?) Were they also involved in fighting Bela Kun's army ?

"By the end of October 1918, when the Czech national revolution had started, at its disposal were only forces organized by the Sokols (Falcolns). Archduke Eugen, head of AH army, among other precautionary steps, did tot leave in Bohemia any Czech or Slovak army unit. He dispersed them in Austria and Hungary for an eventual intervention against Bolshevik forces.
Romanian regiments 51 Cluj and 37 Oradea were stationed in Prague. As per instructions received from the united Romanian commandment, the Romanian regiments came immediately into contact with Joseph Scheiner, president of Sokol units, in order to help him in organizing the Czech army."

Pamfil Seicaru was the most prominent Romanian journalist in inter-war period. He was awarded Michael the Brave military order in WW1.

I thought there are some Czech and Slovak forumists and I suppose they know more on this topic. At least, they might provide info on history of Sokols and their leaders in touch with Romanians of those days (mentioning sources too!)
