K98 scabbard wanted

If you cleaned the grips with acetone or paint thinner, it's normal for bakelite parts to loose the "shine" effect. You can get them to shine again by using a thin layer of varnish. And leave them to get nice and dry, to avoid getting fingerprints on the varnish.

Hope this helps. (I had a similar problem with an old AK bayonet, the handle got dull after i cleaned it with acetone to remove some pait spots. Now it's nice and shiny again)
