Hello all.

I am gathering as much information as I can to assist a colleague to bring out some accurate markings for 1/35 scale tank models. I have offered to help with the research and some of the artwork for this project.

We wish to begin with:

R-2 (CMK model)
R-35 (Heller model)
Malaxa (Tamiya UE model)

Next, (second sheet) we would include tanks and other vehicles from Germany, from 1943 and later:

T-3 (PzKpfw III Ausf N)
T-4 (PzKpfw IV)
TA (StuG III)
T-38 (PzKpfw 38(t) Ausf G)
SdKfz 222 / 223

Finally, captured Soviet types:
BA-10, BT, T-26, Komsomolets, etc.

If these markings are well-received, we may complete the coverage with a fourth sheet covering TACAMs, FT-17 and other miscellaneous vehicles.

Unfortunately there are very few photos that show markings clearly. I have read through the posts on this forum, and others, and very little is known about Romanian armour markings. I have still not been able to obtain a copy of the book Trupele Blindate din Armata Romana.

If anyone can help, with photos or other information, your help would be appreciated. Any assistance will be acknowledged in the instructions. Any loan of photographs will be respected — none will be posted on the Internet without prior permission — but would be invaluable in preparing the artwork.

In particular, details we need are number plates for particular vehicles, any information on tactical or divisional markings, and correct proportions for the Michael's Cross for the top of the engine deck on the R-2 and other types.
