These kind of comparisons are too subjective to carry any kind of value.

I agree with Victor.
These threads are pointless and usually lead to flame war.

Hmmm...."War doesn't determine who's RIGHT...only who's LEFT".

From my point of view the germans had the best trained soldiers and some of the best weapons...but even if they had some major victories they still lost the war. Sometimes the best equipped, best trained soldiers loose a battle because of poor leadership.

From Murphy's laws about war:

"Those with the fanciest uniforms usually loose the battles"

I agree that germans were the best soldiers.

Those germans know how to wage a war, but economicaloy they built expensive tanks like Tiger 1 and 2. The russians built more balnced tanks and less expensive like T 34.

Germans were based on quality....russians on quantity. I think you know how may tanks the russians lost for every german one taken out of action. It was almost the same with soldiers (back home there are 2 german unknown soldiers buried near my house and in the other cemetery there are at least 30 russian soldiers)

Well German tank crews where more advanced in training, they knew some tank warfare tactics, while the russians didn't have any tactics, they went straight forword in a battle.

Yep...but still the germans lost the war...like I said quantity. From my knowledge the germans we trained above their rank, for example a soldier was trained in such a maner that he could have taken a sergent's place. I hope you undersand what I mean.
