What they wrote about the AK is 100% true.

guys!!! i don't understand why you think that a non higheducation russian sergent culd copy agerman weapon... dry.gif

if we look back in time we'll see that this is not specific to russian army, for example what happened with "FUCHS" spy...you know the case of atomic bomb stollen secret from americans, or the devastation that took place at former IAR factory, actually Uzina Tractorul Brasov(tractor factory brasov), when eye witnesses said that russians took the
factory assembly lines for messerschmidt bf 109, with their concrete postament!!!! mad.gif
...i know this becouse i heard this from the people that worked there and lived trought those times...

i simply don't understand why you are saying that russian copyied... wink.gif

indeed. according to a special issue of the german wapons magazine "Visier" (25/2002) which i accidentally bought 5 years ago, the '43 invention was rejected from serial production (although the author was credited for the innovations), as the weapon would not offer any significant advantage over the existing PPsh 41 and PPS 43, so they decided it's not worth the hassle.
and it wasn't Kalashnikovs only model that would be rejected.

the magazine also states, that despite some similarities, the concepts behind the AK47 and StG 44 are so different, it is obvious that the AK47 is not a rip-off.
