Need help identifying a shovel, Can anybody help me id it?

Capitan Group: Members Posts: 682 Member No.: 679 Joined: September 26, 2005	Today I bought from the flea market these two shovels: The first one is a Romanian WWI shovel made in 1911; the other one is made in 1915 and has some markings in Cyrillic alphabet but also some other signs. Markings: When I bought the shovel I thought it was German WWI, after the shape and the markings (the ones in the circle) the other marking just below in Cyrillic were hidden by the green pain. I think that the shovel could be made in Germany in 1915 for the Bulgarian army, but all I could find on the net is this shovel listed as “Old German type shovel…” on ebay sold by a Bulgarian . http://cgi.ebay.com/OLD-GERMAN-TYPE-ENTREN...1QQcmdZViewItem PS I bought it for 15lei (it is not easy to negotiate a shovel with another shovel in the other hand ).

This shovel was produced in Russia. Also the year of manufactur 1915 is very common for the Russian WW1 entrenching tools

General de brigada Group: Members Posts: 1079 Member No.: 198 Joined: January 18, 2004	Many of these shovels were retained in the Finnish Army after WW1. These shovels are found with a hole stamped in the metal where the circle and crowned W stamp is. A procedure used to de-identify markings.

ЗАВОДЬ БИЛЬНЕСЬ = FACTORY BILNES
It's definitely Russian imperial shovel.

I found the markings. The shovel dates from ww1 the year 1915 but I don't know what army used it?????

I also thought it was ww1 russian but I wasn't shure. Thanks for the help
