The best Rumanian language aviation book I've read was 'Inimi cit sa cuprinda cerul patriei' by Cornel Marandiuc. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

That is correct. Nevertheless, it's No. 1 on my list of Rumanian language aviation books - not because of the historical facts, but rather for it's style and presentation of the events. Let's not forget, it a historical novel rather than a history reference work. And it was published under Communism!
