Was methanol-wather injection (Mw 50) ever used on romanian airplanes? It seems it was pretty commom to use that on the Luftawaffe planes by the summer of 1994.

In his memories, ARIPI, SKIURI SI PATINE, eng. Dudu Frim, mentiones ing. Nicolae Florescu from the IAR Works as experimenting this extra fuel and measuring the efects, by metalographic analyse of the engine parts, carried out in Bucharest by dr. M. Totoescu and P. Petrescu.

I doubt any of the FARR 109s were equipped with MW50... as far as I know, even for the Luftwaffe - supplies of water/methanol were quite low as it were.

The most important consumer in the Reich was the Kriegsmarine. Profesor Walter high speed submarine propulsion used by the Royal Navy after the war, too consumed almost all available propellant of the peroxid type. A Walter U boot reached 42 knots underwater for short periods !
Tests with our propellant were done too.
