I found the new Stuka by Hasegawa. Number 09704. It's a reboxing of the old (but good) Ju-87D Stuka but with new Romanian decals. Two marking options: yellow 861, Hai noroc! of Esc. 86 picaj. Decals seems of the right size according to photographs found on this forum, but, it's missing a slogan on the right hand side of the nose. Si bucurie...! is not present.

Second option: white 6 of grupul 8 asalt-picaj in post August 1944 markings. On this option, no missing markings!

A nice addition in Hasegawa's catalogue but, with the omission of a marking, the research department haven't done his home work right!!!! Maybe one day, they will get everything right!!!!!!!!

1/48 is a good scale, and Hasegava is known for some quality models, although I can't comment on the exact quality of this particular kit since I haven't seen it yet. Is is a straight reboxing, or did they also change the model a bit, for example by adding photo-etch parts? (at 1/48 they should)
Are there any pictures of any finished plane yet?

I am wondering if the decal maker reproduced correctly the four-letter black Stammkennzeichen applied on the fuselage and painted over with a darker colour, following the letters' shapes (so they are still legible).

If the kit is missing the inscription on the right side as stated by Québec, I'm fairly certain that is not applicable... However, both missing markings should be easily reproduced by a skilled modeler.

yeah, judging from your post, the decals are not that great and especially the crosses look weird...

Later edit: I found a site detailing the construction of what I think is basically the same kit, but with custom markings (the ones issued with the box were some italian ones)- the plane being modeled is the same "yellow 861", also with missing right side inscription: http://www.swannysmodels.com/Ju87D.html

No! They are not reproduced, as the painted over crosses on the wings. I guess some new airbrush skills will be needed...

There is absolutely no add-on on this kit. It's the same old kit reboxed with new decals. Typical Hasegawa's way of doing things (not intended in a negative way)....

Do you actually mean Ju 87 (Stuka), or Ju 86 (two-engine bomber)? sad.gif

First of all I want to salute you all, I am really happy that I could join this forum. Although I am new on this forum, I consider myself old when I talk about modelling and especially world war 2. I will make a short presentation of myself at an adequate topic.
Now, regarding this Stuka model, I want to ask you about the camouflage and markings of the Stukas used in the campaign after 23rd of August 1944. What can you tell me about its camouflage? When receiving the red-yellow-blue circles (cocardes), only the King Michael crosses were overpainted, or the whole plane received a new painting scheme, just like in the case of the IAR 80? Or did the old German camouflage remained and the crosses were simply sprayed over with a different type of green?. I will also receive the model of the Stuka soon and I want to do this version, with the white wingtips and circles, as I find it a bit more interesting. If you could share some photos with the plane I would be grateful.
