Looking for the following items to help out with the WWII impression in the US. Most US buyers will want to use Paypal or another form of online payment since they are considered safe.

Gasmask/Canisters/Bag (mostly canisters since items are stored in them)
belts/buckles
helmets/liners/straps
rucksack (this is what most will have a difficult time with, anyone know of a source for original or very similar postwar items)
Breadbag

Mihnea is right, German items are easy to find in the US however anything resembling Romanian is difficult.

3 German Bread Bags:

The light Brown is either S. A. or very early H. J. blink.gif and the price reflects this:

100 Euro.

The other two upon closs inspection might possibly be Post World War 2 manufacture, unsure.gif looking at the rubber stampings, however they are perfect for WW2 re-enactments

and are available at:

35 Euros each.

As you said Kevin the two cheaper bred bags are post war, the tell-tale sign is the separation wall inside them. I found the info in Militaria Magazine Nr 190 “Le sac a pain mle 1931” written by Jean Philippe Borg and Laurent Huart.

Thanks for the scan of the article, sorry I never learned French at school tongue.gif

The earlier brown S A or H J, is sub-divided too, but that IS 100% original though.

Probably if I would have posted a scan in any other language than English you would have said the same thing. wink.gif

The translation of the first paragraph:

The different models of bread bags used by the long gone NVA (t.n.: Nationalen Volksarmee = National People's Army not North Vietnamese Army laugh.gif ) and Bundeswehr are similar to those produced for the Wehrmacht and can easily be confused, also they are frequently proposed as originals. Fortunately, most of them have an internal separation that allows us to identify them, but how common is this?

Here is a more helpful scan from the same article:
user posted image
The text encircled in red refers to the three bread bags below. The translation: The bread bags model 1887 (in the middle) and those made after WWII (above) have an internal separation, creating two spaces, this separation is missing on those produced for the Wehrmacht (below).

PS I hope you have noticed this post dry.gif:

Hallo Mihnea biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Many thanks for all the helpful information you have posted here, I am sure it will stop some members from getting ripped off, thats why I always state everything about the items I am selling, even on ebay, If I have any doubt I say so straight away, that way I have managed to keep a 100% feedback.

With regards French, well back in Ireland the girls in the Convent school got French language lessons, and the boys taught by the "Christian Brothers" ie. men in skirts with hard leather belts used for punishments dry.gif decided we should learn Spanish, needless to say I flunked huh.gif I can manage German having lived in Bavaria for 5 years, but Romanian is proveing to be a tough one.

I still believe the two NVA bags, will be of some use to a re-enactor, as using originals can get the items damaged. If nobody here is interested no problem, they go to Ebay. rolleyes.gif

I do have one complete original German WW2 bag, complete with long strap, but thats staying in my own personal collection. tongue.gif

Wishing you a pleasent evening and again many thanks for your posts,

Kev in Deva biggrin.gif
