Old days names were not always spelled the same.
Ioan Dicesare on some documents is Ion Di-Cesare or Dicezare. Marinciu is also some times IOn sometimes Ioan. |

Yes; however, I believe when talking of your uncle's military career we should respect the spelling he preferred at that time, not the new post-war version.

They are still in the phone mem.
