Type 1 had the "big head", while type 2 had the smaller head. Type 1 also came in a swivel crown version. I will try to find mine and post pics of all three. |

Swivel crown is not accurate-the crown is loose, not firmly affixed-Variants L to R: Big Head, loose crown Big Head, fixed small crown and small swds Small Head, loose crown Small Head, loose crown, Resch marked I assume there is a Small Head, fixed crown version  |

I have 2 other variations of medal #3 in your example. Small head loose crown. Directly below the head at the bottom of the medal, one example has one dot ( Ferdinand . Romaniei ) , the second example has 2 dots ( Ferdinand .. Romaniei ). A period between the words Ferdinand an Romaniei. |

Here are two "non-military" medals . The first one has the regular size of the " Medalia Ferdinand" , the second one has 49 mm in diameter. The most peculiar think is that the big one is signed "Ileana 1927". Since today I never seen on other medals this signature.

No for the big medal there is no reverse , the small one is identical with the Medalia Ferdinand. |

I saw several of the small ones before. However, all of them were well-worn, and i considered them to be damaged wearable medals.
