Mi-1 in Romanian service

Soldat Group: Members Posts: 9 Member No.: 819 Joined: February 11, 2006	2 years ago, in the yard of the Air Museum at Otopeni, I saw the remains of what seemed to be a Mi-1 helicopter, with camouflage painting still visible. Was this helicopter type in use in Romania?

Admin Group: Admin Posts: 4368 Member No.: 4 Joined: June 17, 2003	Yes, the Mi-1 was used in the Rumanian air force. The type entered service in 1963 (2 x Mi-1 MU). The number decreased to one in 1966 and stayed as such until 1974 (the last year I have info about). Gen. Dénes
