I have recently aquired this photo. It is signed Puiu Antonescu and is dated September 1942. I looked through the names in the 1942 class of air force officers and there are two Antonescus: Vasile and Romulus. Can anyone identify him?

There were more Antonescus in ARR. E.g.: lt. Grigore, adj. Ion, cpt. Cristofor, cpt. Gheorghe, adj. Mihai, lt. Romulus, slt. rez. Vasile (you listed the latter two).

So the possibilities are rather wide.
