General Dragomir was the chief of ww2 veterans from Cluj. He was ill and in hospital last summer when I looked after him for a interview and never managed to speak with him.

My uncle Dr MIrcea Onicescu left us a few days ago.
He was a WW2 veteran and well known ginecologist.
HE was 87 years old.
RIP.

Well his father Octav Onicescu was from Botosani.
His wife Luiza (born Zorio) also was born in Botosan.
They moved to Bucharest after WW1.

As far as I know.the comemorative house of Octav Onicescu was demolished.
I guess the town has too many celebrities and needed no more.....

That's a very sad news, indeed. I met him several times, and he was helpful with his memories. May he rest in peace.

Did he have a chance to see your book? I hope so.
