Esc. 53 vân. was part of Gr. 7 vân. at one point or another. This can also be verified in the book by Antoniu & Cicos.

The discussion was around IAR 80 ( inventory ) in 53sq. At the time of using this type of plane, 53sq was independent squadron. So the corection has a meaning for modellers who were confused about the 53 sq emblem ( Mikey Mouse riding a horse) wrong atributed to 7thFG in some old books.

I waited for the printed dekals and then I had to clear away other projects from my workbench. In fact the original dekal on the tail (IAR 80A) has broken during its application propably due to its degradation. Thanks to Hammer, member of modelforum, for printing new ones. I think it was no straightforward build. Especially the upgrade of cowling is neccesarry. I hope, the announced MPM new release of that beatiful aircraft will be redesigned.
