Hello all, I can't find this information in the web, but hope some body can help me on this form. I need know what type of datum use Romanian Royal Navy in they charts (period 1940-1945).

But why do you expect their nautical charts were special or different at that time.

Some country change datum (US use NAD-27, then NAD-83, then WGS84; Russian use s-42 now PZ-90 (same WGS84)). For accurate calculation in need understand type of datum in Romania in WWII. Without this information mistake in calculation can be 150-1000 meters.

I am pretty sure Romania has changed the datum since WW2. I have at work Romanian military maps which are in Pulkovo 1942 ellipsoid, Gauss-Kruger zone 5. They are post war due to Soviet influence.

Yep, this is soviet standard. And now i'm sure - Romania in WWII use other datum.

But of course Romania used charts with an older refference system. You speak about enough recent systems. I am sure those charts were at least European compatible.
Are you looking for shipwrecks ? There are some websites with The Black Sea wrecks...
