How many variations existed ?
Medal 1 - Gold gilt with yellow ribbon
Medal 2 - Silver with yellow green ribbon
Medal 3 - Gold gilt with green ribbon

Normaly the medal should look like the right one from the scan!

Sorry but you are making this time a mistake. There are NO variations of this medal. There is just one type of "Medalia Peles". The medal is gilted and the ribbon is green. The "yellow" and "green yellow" ribbons are just...old , and the color is gone. The silvered medal , probably was silvered by someone.

What about the medal itself, are there any variants?

The one in my collection has the engravers' name to the right (Jalea?). The text on the reverse is different from the one quoted in the Safta book. The 6th line is quoted as "al meu regat" by Safta, while on my medal it is "al seu regat".
