I have the same medal with the same 'Pro Patria' bar in my private collection. It was awarded to an airman.

Here is the pertinent document ('brevet') for this medal, issued to a soldier from the 33rd 'Dorobanti' Regiment.
I am wondering why was this medal issued to a Rumanian soldier by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs? Gen. Dénes P.S. Note the 'Royal' appellation in the ministry's title in this official document ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by Dénes on December 05, 2005 08:47 pm |

During that period the Chancellery of the Orders was subordinated to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Minister for Foreign Affairs was the Chancellor of the Orders. |
