Interesting Death Card of German soldier, Franz Buchner, who was awarded the Michael the Brave Order. Died Sept 28, 1941.

Does anyone have any information as to the circumstances for the award ?

Wasn't the 'Mihai Viteazul' Order suppose to be awarded only to officers?

I believe here they're actually referring to another lower order/medal, awarded in the name of King Michael I.

Photographs taken on December 1st 2003 on occasion of Romania's National Day.
All veterans having high decorations were invited to Bucharest for a formal dinner
and some politicians took the opportunity to pose with them.
My grandfather Teodor Breharu (then 89) was among the invitees.

Another two photos of my grandfather Teodor Breharu wearing the "Mihai Viteazul" Order.
First one was taken in 1995 and the second in 2000 (he was 81 and 86 then)
