Victor, you have right - everybody make mistekes; but IMHO a lot of researchers and historians make mistakes in a well documented topics also, so they are simply undemanding (like Földi).

Also, I'd like to know more about him. The propaganda around him was unbelievable during the war (including a popular song). Was his fame due mainly to propaganda (i.e., was he a "poster-boy"), or was he indeed a good ace fighter? Thanks.

It seems like most war pilots have some common expressions on their face in pictures: very confident, fearless, glad to be enjoying life. My guess is that they were all quite "successful" with the ladies... :wink:

This was the hear-say of the times, but it wasn't neccessarily true. Anyway, he specifies the fact that the Russian was very good.
