The Russia was a bigger power since then . The Independence of Romania was gained due to the united efforts of the Russian Imperial Army and Romanian Army. Without Russia probabily the Turks ruled this part of Europe , 20 or maybe 50 years. So I think that way they honored them. Also Alexander apears the first and Carol I the second , on the obverse. |

Hi, To aviatiadasenzatia: I think you are right. Historical artefacts need to be estimated from a position of a historical objectivism, instead of political preference. Once again many thanks to all who has taken part in discussion of this theme. P.S.
