Unfortunately the story is not that well written and thus hard to understand. The article says that Virgil Prunes has been proposed to receive the Order of Michael the Brave in 1947, but it is not clear what he has waited for all these years. Was it the official award certificate? Or was it the resolution that the proposal has been accepted? In the latter case, when has the decision been taken, in 1947 or in 2005? Anyhow, it is a sad story that he had to wait all these years.
