Is this a regimental badge or not?| b737 |

Somebody told me that this is a rare badge of a "comandant FRN" ! The badge is 7cm long and 4,5cm wide and it is made by Decomed.Can I consider it as a regimental badge?

In my opinion this badge cannot be considered a regimental badge. FRN stands for Frontul Renaşterii Naţionale (The Front of National Renaissance), which was the sole legal political organisation of 1938-1940. Besides, the badge under discussion is stated to be a rank badge within the FRN, not a honour sign as were the regimental badges.

In my opinion this badge cannot be considered a regimental badge. I think so, In regiment badge,it show the soldier collar and the unit clearly. Mihai |

Yes but GN on the badge means Garda Nationala - The National Guard....... This badge must have belonged to the CO of the National Guard ...?!!! |

You said that it is "a FRN commander badge" (the FRN affiliation is indeed supported by the presence of the FRN insignia on the badge). Hence it is more likely that it is a rank badge, rather than an honour sign (as most of the regimental badges were). |
