|  Sergent major  Group: Members Posts: 216 Member No.: 29 Joined: July 07, 2003  |                     It was 4 American and 3 Free French divisions against the German 19th Army consisting of 8 weak divisions, including the 11th Pz Div. The only real fighting that took place on the shore was at Toulan and Marseilles. After that the Germans were in a quick retreat up through eastern France.                      |
