Hello,

My first post!

This is a picture showing my uncle, Second Lieutenant Mountain Troops Vasile Munteanu (1919-1999). The pictures present him receiving congratulations when the unit of Tatars volunteers that he commended at that time received decoration for outstanding results in fighting against the soviet partizans, in Crimeea. My uncle received decoration two times, he was wounded, he went back in war after healing and he was captured by russians in Crimeea evacuation. He was released from Oranki POW camp in 1948 and came back in the country where he worked as a school teacher until he retired.

The picture is my own property.
