My grand grandfather from feet somewher through 1919-1920. I don't know what rank hi have and what unit and what weapon is ? from beret I see an 8 I don;t know what is means.somebody can help me?

It seems that the officer standing up bears the three bars of a Captain. He might belong to the 8th (Artillery ?) Regiment of the 1919-1924. His companion, sitting on a chair, is an artillery officer but the number on his “Capela” is not visible. |

The military is a cavalry Sergeant (?) of WW1. The edged weapon is a M. 1906 cavalry sword. |
