 The member of the bomber crew, owner of the icon, may belong to various backgrounds. His family could be American immigrants from: -Rusia -Greece -Romania -Serbia -Bulgaria -Turkey, Egypt etc. (Christians fled from a Muslim country, like the surviving Armenians) This post has been edited by Florin on October 05, 2004 06:48 am | ||

 The Germans made an error, which suggests an unofficial item. The crest they used was the shield in the old coat-of-arms of Romania from 1872. During WWII the 1921 coat-of-arms had been used. | ||
