Interesting. It may be true....
This is the war, unfortunatly.... In Daniel Focsa's "Escadrila Alba. O istorie subiectiva" (2008) Mariana Dragescu said Germans used to call Russian women from soviet auxiliary army "saltele de razboi". This post has been edited by Vranceanu on May 31, 2013 09:30 am |

Well, the "reputation" of Dayly Mail is,to say at least, dubious, something like Clik down here.Having said thot,no doubt thet such cases existed,US Army is only an army.

Darn, how the Red Army liberators (and women such "liberated") must have been smiling at this article!

I think the reputation of Daily Mail has nothing to do with it. It's about that book written by that professor from the US. Whether that is thrustworthy or not (but I rather can't see why not, ab initio) or if the fact that the author is a woman has anything to do with that is another story... But I agree with MMM that the Red Army "liberators" could't be second to nobody in that regard. |

Thanks - but, as with the German agressions, there is the question of "friendly media", because neither Soviets, nor Germans (Nazis, more exactly) didn't have many friends in the "free world". So, the "essential" is not necesarily what they've done, but what was "filmed", in a manner of speaking. -------------------- M
