The subject of romanian pilots of royal aviation (ARR) after the ww2, in prisons or exile, is vaste and almost virgin. I used Securitate files from CNSAS for my book about Vizanty in 2010. I used also unknown informations about Mariana Dragescu, Nadia Russo and Stela Hutan in "Escadrila Alba" (2008, first edition), from their own storys, their archives and other testimonys like Paul Goma and others. And also, in my book "Aviatori de altadata" I published informations about some pilots after the ww2, their life and destiny. This is interesting I think because generaly, the aviators are known in relation with the years of war, but almost unknown after 1945 or 1947.

I will indicate here (to not open many topics) my new articles in future, about theese subjects, articles which are adding other new informations to the subjects I already wrote about, in my books, or about new subjects.

As you know, I wrote this article about the prisons of Dan Vitanty:

Daniel Focsa, Inchisorile pilotului Dan Vizanty, în „Revista 13”, 13 iunie 2014.
http://edituramateescu.ro/2014/06/inchisor...ui-dan-vizanty/

and also, about the book of Ion Profir:

Daniel Focsa, Gânduri despre o carte fără egal: Ion Profir, Singur pe cerul Stalingradului, în „Revista 13”, 5 mai 2014.
http://edituramateescu.ro/2014/05/ganduri-...stalingradului/

I continue with an article about the destiny of Ion Profir in his exile, subject unknown until now, I am the very first historian to give some clarifications about his last years. The text is based on CNSAS files.

Daniel Focsa, Comandorul Ion Profir în arhivele Securităţii (I). Temerara evadare aeriană. Turcia, Italia, Franţa (1947 – 1949), în „Permanenţe”, an XVII, nr. 7-8, iulie-august 2014, p. 24.

(I promise: I shall continue !)

Smaranda Brăescu, that in 1932 established an absolute parachuting world record, previously held by an American at 21,733 ft, by jumping successfully from 24,000 ft (7,200m) in Sacramento, California, died on February 2, 1948 in a Communist prison.
She was sent to prison for two years for the "crime" of condemning the November 1946 election. The fact that she did not survive for two years says something about those prisons.

She did not died in prison, and she died because she had a cancer, but it is true, Securitate was traking her.
See my book Escadrila Alba second edition 2013, pages 31 - 32.

Maybe nobody care about this situation .. ?!
It's time to come out from the "under cover" status .. but for this solid evidence is needed.

Congrats for article !

Thanks.
This information is absolutely unknown until now (except my other articles from "Permanente" and "Arges"), and we talk about the greatest romanian bomber pilot from ww2 !
